Shavige Payasa is vermicelli cooked in milk, which is also called as Kheer. This is prepared during festivals and auspicious occasions. My mom makes the best in the world!

Ingredients:
½ liter Milk
½ Cup Shavige (Vermicelli)
1tsp Ghee (Clarified Butter)
10 tsp Sugar
½ tsp Cardamom Powder
Few strands of Saffron, soaked in milk
Few pieces of Almonds, Cashew nut and raisins, fried in Ghee
Method:
Heat Ghee in a thick-bottomed pan and fry the Shavige in it for a minute. Add Milk and let it boil for sometime.
Now, add Sugar, Cardamom Powder, and Saffron Milk and mix well. Let it boil for 3 to 4 minutes and remove to a serving dish. Add Cashew nut and raisins and mix well and serve Shavige Payasa.
