Lentils based tasty steamed balls. Nuchchina Unde is served along with a curry called Majjigehuli in South Karnataka, India.

Ingredients:
2 Cups Tur Dal/Red Gram split/Pigeon Peas
½ Cup Moong Dal/Green Gram split
¼ Cup Channa Dal/Kadalebele/Bengal Gram spit
1½ Cups Fresh grated Coconut
6 Green Chilies, Chopped finely
½ Cup Chopped Coriander leaves
½ Cup Chopped Dil/Sabsige leaves (Optional)
Salt to taste
Method:
Soak Tur Dal, Moong Dal and Channa Dal for 2 hours. Grind them coarsely and remove to a mixing bowl. Mix all the other ingredients with it.
Now divide the mixture into balls and shape each one of them into an oval. Steam these oval balls for 20 to 25 minutes.
Remove to a serving plate.
Garnish with Coconut and Coriander leaves.
Serve Nuchchina Unde with Majjigehuli (curd curry).
In small bowls you can dunk the undes in Majjige huli / Mor Kozambhu and serve.
