Masinagudi is one of the 5 ranges of Madumalai wild life reserve. The others are Thepakadu, Mudumalai, Kargudi and Nellakota.
Masinagudi hills are my favorite blue hills. They are majestic and scenic with clouds clinging on the peaks. After an adventurous drive into Bandipur and Madumalai forests, you are greeted with these awesome hills. Spending time looking at the hills and the flora and fauna surrounding the place is exhilarating.
Between the bushes you can see the shy Sambars and spotted deer scurrying to safety, the bush chats, jungle babblers, doves, wagtails, robins, are all busy in their own world.
The highlight of our bird spotting was the Nilgiri Parakeets frolicking on a huge tree.
The Bamboo forests and the huge trees are a perfect place for our avian friends, who frolic with no care in the world.
This place is perfect for trekkers and holiday makers.
Nearby places to visit are Bandipur, Madumalai, Kalahatty Waterfalls, and Ooty.
