It is now the time of the season when Waterfalls are the happiest and tumble in full glory.
The perennial waterfalls are happy at the increase in volume and the annual waterfalls are more than happy to gurgle down the hills and rocks wetting the region on the way to meet some River.
As you drive on the winding roads in the Western Ghats from Madikeri to Mangalore, at approximately 15 Kms from Madikeri, a waterfall attracts your attention and you are sure to stop to admire the Devarakolli Waterfall. It is an annual waterfall fed by rains. Devarakolli village is located near the waterfalls.
I am not sure about the actual height of the falls, but I assume it to descend from more than 75 feet.
Devarakolli waterfall continues its journey as a narrow stream down the green hills.
After a refreshing break, off you proceed to your destination into the green woods.
