Lamb’s rock is a view point in Coonoor named after the collector Captain Lamb. The view point was made accessible by the effort and interest of Captain Lamb.
Lambs rock is situated on the way to Dolphin’s nose, which is another view point. Lamb’s rock is situated in Burliar village, 8 Km from Coonoor.
The mountain cliff / rock stand at 5000 feet above sea level is jagged. Green hills all around the cliff, mist, and the cool breeze makes the visit worthwhile. You will have to climb few 100 meters to reach the view point after parking your vehicle. To the right of the cliff is the Hulical ravine and in the valley below flows the Coonoor stream.
A sip of Nilgiri chai / tea to go with the view completes the whole experience.
Nearby places to visit are Dolphin’s Nose and Kotagiri.
