Sweet Shankarpole is a crispy sweet snack; usually distributed to children during Dasara festival. Sweet Shankarpole is also prepared by Maharashtrians during Diwali.

Sweet Shankarpole are crisp sweet deep fried snack prepared using Refined flour and Sugar.

Ingredients:
2tbsp Ghee/Clarified Butter
1 Cup Powdered Sugar
2 Cups Maida/Refined Flour
Oil for deep-frying
¼ tsp Cooking Soda
Method:
Mix the ingredients together with water to a dough.
Divide into balls.
On a floured surface, roll them into a big circle of at least 10” diameter.
Using a cutter cut into small diamond shapes.
Heat Oil in a kadai and deep fry Sweet Shankarpole till light or dark golden brown.
