Shankranthi festival is celebrated tomorrow and it is the norm to distribute “Yellu” to neighbors and friends in boxes or zip lock bags bought from the market. This year why not make some Origami boxes using gift wrappers and distribute yellu!?
Materials Required:
Paper
Scissors
Method:
Cut paper into squares in sizes of your choice. Two squares for one box, one square piece bigger than the other.
Fold as shown in the pictures.
Open the paper and fold again as shown in the pictures.
Fold horizontally to the middle.
Repeat on the other side.
Open this fold and repeat to fold on the opposite side.
Open the folding and continue to fold as shown below.
Fill with Shankranthi goodies like Yellu, Sakkare Achchu, and Kusuri Kalu.
If you want a closed box. Prepare two boxes, one smaller than the other. Add a thick thread handle to the big box.
Fill the smaller box with some goodies and close with the bigger box.
