Other common names of African Daisy are Rain Daisy, Weather Prophet, Cape Marigold and is native of Namibia. Botanical name is Dimorphotheca pluvialis and belongs to Asteraceae (Sunflower) family.
This striking and elegant flowers is an annual plant and grows to a height of 3 to 4 feet. Leaves are light green and about 7 to 8 cm long.
Flowers bloom from July to October and open from 10 in the morning to 4 in the evening. The flower heads always face the sun. The flower has white petals and the underside is mauve with a contrasting blue center.
