Fancifully called “dancing dolls”, these are grown commercially for cut flowers. Gower Ramsey have robust and shimmering sprays bearing elegant flowers.

Resting for Orchid Plants:
Most species of orchids need rest to enable them to flower. The pseudo bulb, which is the water storage organ of the orchid plant should be kept dry during the rest period; it is impossible to give a general guidelines as the rest period required varies from species to species; some need as little as a week, others need several months, which is a debating issued among orchid growers. Orchids which lose their leaves during winter should be given reduced water as the foliage turns yellow in Autumn and given enough to prevent shriveling during the leafless rest phase – recommence watering on signs of growth.
New leaves signify that the dormant period is over. Opening buds too, tell us that the plant is emerging from dormancy.
