Ornamental Chilies as the name suggests is grown for its beauty and the color that it adds to a garden. The plant resembles a chili plant, but the fruit is shades of red, purple, yellow, orange, black or white. A single plant will have fruits that change color as they mature.
Ornamental Chilies are penennial and easy to grow in pots and in garden beds.
Propagation is from seeds. Plant in full sun sheltered from harsh winds. Provide fertilizer once every fortnight. Water the plants every day.
Most of the chilies are edible until and unless it is specified that it is for ornamental purpose only. Sometimes use of pesticides might be high in these plants.
