Flowers of this perennial creeping evergreen plant are as pretty as its name. Viola Hederacea is the botanical name and belongs to Violaceae family. It is a native of Australia.
Due to the creeping nature of the plant, it is used as ground-cover in gardens. Bright green leaves are rounded around 2 inches long. The leaves look exactly like Brahmi (Pennywort).
Flowers are small, and bloom throughout the year. White and purple flowers bloom on spike. One petal at the bottom of the flower is the widest.
Seeds are encapsulated in a brown pod.
Propagation:
Viola Hederacea is very easy to grow in pots, bed, border, hanging baskets, or patio. Plant them in partial shade in well drained organic
rich soil.
Be on the lookout for slug and aphid attacks.
