Belur Chennakeshava Temple complex comprises of many temples dedicated to various deities. One such temple is the Andal temple. The presiding deity Andal is also known as Ranganayaki. This is situated to the north west of the Keshava temple.
Andal Temple is built on a raised platform. The base of the temple has decorations of elephants, patterns, and puranic scenes.
The 31 large sculptures of various gods and goddesses with canopies over each one on the outer walls are attractive. The intricate carvings on the canopies are different on each one of them.
The south wall bears the names of the sculptors Bechama and Madhuvanna.
