Chhatarpur Temple complex is the second largest temple complex in India and is located in South Delhi. 60 acres of land has been converted into gardens and lawns dotted with 20 temples dedicated to various deities like Lord Rama, Lord Ganesha, Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, Maha Gauri, Hanuman, Goddess Durga, Radha Krishna, and so on. The main deity of the temple complex is Goddess Katyayani who is one of the Navadurga (nine forms of Goddess Durga or Shakti).
The whole complex is known as Shri Aadya Katyayani Shakti Peetham, which was established in 1974 by Baba Sant Nagpal Ji. Samadhi of Baba Sant Nagpal is also within the temple complex.
The temples are built in North and South Indian style of architecture. Some of the temples are constructed using marble with lattice work.
The best time to visit the Chattarpur Temple is during the Navaratri / Dasara festival. Ten days of the festival is celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm.
