Jaswant Thada is situated to the left of the Mehrangarh fort complex in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. This beautiful white marble structure was built in 1899 in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Photographs of the former rulers of Jodhpur are exhibited here.
Three other cenotaphs are also within the same complex.
People of this region still have great reverence to the Maharaja and it is believed that if you tie a hand kerchief to the intricately carved marble window your wishes will come true!
