Now is the time of waterfalls. Good rains in Pushpagiri Hill ranges promise good family outing to waterfalls. Mallalli is one such waterfall situated in Bettadahalli Gram Panchayat in Somwarpet Taluk of Coorg district. Coorg is also known as Kodagu and Madikeri.
The main source for the waterfall is Kumaradhara River, which originates from Pushpagiri Hill ranges.
The river falls into cascades and flows to Kukke Subramanya and then merges into Netravathi River at Uppinangadi situated in Dakshina Kannada district to join the Arabian Sea.
The waterfall is 120 feet tall and falls in layers. There are 600 steps to get closer to the falls.
Barricades are put up all around to restrain people from getting into the falls. The environment around the falls is breath-taking.
