Ottinene Sunset Point is one of the most amazing places that I have ever been to. If you are anywhere near Kundapura do not miss visiting this place.
The Sunset Point is up a small hill. You will have to climb few steps to reach the top. It is fun to climb uphill surrounded by tall trees, ferns, mushroom, and wild flowers.
The Karnataka department of forest is managing a place on the hill known as Kshitija Nesara Dhama. When we visited all the buildings wore an abandoned look.
The view of the Arabian Sea is breath taking. You can see the long stretch of Ottinene beach and the estuary.
River Sumana joins the sea here to offer a spectacular view. The sunset here is supposed to be very good, but we preferred a walk up in the morning after breakfast.
It is quiet on the hill and you are free to roam around and take pictures from all angles.
Flowering trees were in bloom and huge butterflies were fluttering happily.
