Someshwara Beach is next to the ancient Someshwara Temple at Byndoor. It is a 1 Km stretch beach, rocky during monsoon, calm in other season. A beach away from crowd and noise, it is a perfect place to spend an evening watching the fishermen and sunset.
Sumana river joins the Arabian Sea at this place. You can stand near this point and see the sweet water mixing with salt water.
Many rocks jut out of the sea and the waves splash on it with a roar that is musical to the ears.
Brahminy Kite population is very high in this region and it is a pleasure for birders and photographers to study and click a picture or two of these magnificent birds.
