- Ensure that you store herbs and spices in a cool and dark place in your kitchen. Humidity, direct sunlight and heat will cause the herbs and spices to loose their flavor.
- If you’re living in a place with very cold weather, then keep the Dosa – Idli batter inside the oven with the oven light on for fermenting.
- If you require very soft cooked Dal (Tuvar dal or Split Red Gram), then soak the dal for 30 minutes before cooking.
