“Neeru” in Kannada means water. Neeru Dosa is prepared with a batter as thin as water and hence the name.

Ingredients:
2 cups Raw Rice
1/2 Cup Grated Fresh Coconut
Oil for Shallow Frying
Salt to taste
Method:
Soak Rice for 5 hours. Grind Rice and Coconut to a paste. Remove to a vessel and add a cup of water and mix well. Leave aside to ferment for 6 hours.
Add Salt to the batter and add 2 cups of water. Let the batter be thin. Heat a Tava/Griddle and pour a spoonful of batter in the center of the pan and spread it evenly using the back of the ladle or by gently turning the Tava in a circular motion.
Cover and cook for 30 second.
Serve hot with Coconut Chutney or a mixture of fresh Coconut and Grated Jaggery.
Repeat for the remaining batter and stir the batter every time before it is poured on the Tava.
