Kuttu ki Poori is prepared using Puffed Buckwheat flour and is consumed during vrata (ritual or diet restriction for a religious purpose). Kuttu ki Poori is usually prepared during Navaratri festival.
Ingredients:
Cups Kuttu Atta – Puffed Buckwheat flour Puffed Buckwheat
1 tsp Jeera powder
Black Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
Method:
Take Kuttu flour in a mixing bowl. Add salt and Jeera powder to it and mix. Add warm water little at a time and start kneading the dough. The dough should be medium soft. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes. Divide into small balls.
On a greased Aluminum foil flatten the ball into a concentric circle.
Heat Oil in a pan. Deep fry the flattened Poori.
Flip and cook on the other side. Remove on a kitchen towel. Serve hot with Alu Subzi, Curd, and Pickle.
Tip: Add boiled potatoes to the flour
