Saarina Pudi – Rasam or Curry Powder – Rasam Powder Recipe – Method 1

Rasam Powder

Saarina Pudi is also known as Rasam Powder, this masala powder is used to prepare lentil accompaniment with Rice called Saaru/Rasam.

Time Required: 25 Minutes

Ingredients:
2 Cups Coriander Seeds
3/4 – 1 Cup Byadagi Dry Red Chilies
1/2 – 1 Cup Guntur Red Chilies
1/2 Cup Jeera
2 tsp Pepper
3 tbsp Methi (Fenugreek) Seeds
3 Bengal Gram size Hing / Asafoetida
Oil for frying

Method:
Fry each of the ingredients separately with little Oil.

Grind everything together to a fine powder and store Saarina Pudi  in airtight containers.
