Vendekayi in Tamil means Lady;s Finger/Okra, Mor means yoghurt and Thalippu means seasoning. So it is basically Okra simmered in yoghurt and a sesoning added to it in the end.

Ingredients:
20 Vendekayi/ Okra / Bhindi
2 Cups Curds/Yoghurt
1tbsp Besan/Gram Flour
½ tsp Turmeric Powder
1 Onion
2 Green Chilies, Slit
4 Red Chilies
3 tbsp Oil
½ tsp Mustard Seeds
½ tsp Fenugreek Seeds
Few Curry Leaves
1tsp Coconut Oil (Optional)
Salt to taste
Method:
Wash and dry Okra and cut into 1″ pieces. Beat Curds, Turmeric Powder and Besan and keep aside. Heat Oil in a kadai/pan and add Mustard Seeds and Fenugreek seeds. When the Mustard seeds splutter add Curry leaves, Red Chilies and Green Chilies and stir. Add Onion and fry for 20 seconds.
Add Okra and fry for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add Curds mixture and stir for a minute or two.
Remove to a serving dish.
Serve hot Vendekayi Mor Thalippu laced with Coconut Oil along with Rice and Pickle.
