Gadbad is a slang in Kannada meaning there is something wrong or something amiss. History of Gadbad goes like this, a customer visited Diana restaurant in Udupi and ordered for an ice cream, he was not happy with the scoop served and vented his anger out to the waiter. The waiter in turn reported this to the cook and the cook created an ice cream sundae served in a glass and called it Gadbad ice cream. He used multiple flavors of ice cream, fruits, nuts, jelly, and sauce. The customer was happy with this complete meal and Gadbad ice cream was permanently listed in the menu card of the restaurant. A very important ingredient to finish the Gadbad Ice Cream is an appetite!

Time required: Preparation 1 hour, Assembling 5 minutes
Ingredients:
1 Cup Jello or Jelly Cubes
3 to 6 flavors of Ice Cream
Chopped fruits like Pineapple, Banana, Apple, Mango, Sapota or Chikoo, Strawberry
Different types of sauce like Strawberry Sauce, Melba Sauce, Mango Sauce (Optional)
Chopped Dry fruits and nuts like Almonds, Dates, Cashew nuts, Pistachios, Walnuts, Dry Grapes, Shakkar Badam
Sweet Wafers to decorate (optional)
Method:
Take a tall glass, add few spoons of Jelly.
Add a scoop of your choice of ice cream.
Add a spoon of dry fruit and nuts.
Add a scoop or two of your choice of ice cream.
Add a spoon of fresh fruit.
Add another spoon of dry fruit and nuts. Add sauce.
Add more scoops of ice cream
Top it off with an Almond or Sweet Wafer.
Serve immediately.
