Today is the commencement of Shravana Masa. There are many festivals lined up during this Hindu month. Let us start this month by making a sweet dish using Bananas and Coconut milk, which is offered to God on many festivals. This dish known as Rasayana can be served with Poori, Neer Dosa, or Oththu Shavige.

Ingredients:
2 Ripe Bananas
1 Cup Coconut milk
4tbsp Jaggery
1/4 tsp Cardamom powder
1 tsp Black Sesame seeds
1 tsp Ghee / Clarified Butter
Few Cashew nuts fried in ghee
Method:
Peel and chop the Bananas. Heat Ghee in a pan and add the Sesame seeds and when they splutter remove to a mixing bow. Add Bananas, Coconut milk, Jaggery, Cardamom Powder to the mixing bowl and mix well. Add the Cashew nuts.
Remove to a serving bowl.
Offer to the almighty and serve.
