Here is a recipe for a rosy start to the Navratri festival. This delicious sweet dish is easy to make and can be prepared during any festival.

Ingredients:
1.5 Cups Desiccated Coconut
1/3 Cup Milk
2 tbsp Ghee
4 tbsp Rose Syrup
1/4 Cup Sugar
150 gm or 2/3 Cup Khoya / Khova / Dehydrated Milk
Few pinches of Cardamom Powder
Dried Rose Petals and Pistachio slices for garnishing
Method:
Heat Milk. In a mixing bowl, add Coconut and Milk and mix well. Keep aside for 30 minutes.
Heat a pan and add Khova and the Coconut mixture and mix well.
Cook on low flame for a minute stirring continuously.
Add Sugar and Rose syrup and cook for 10 minutes on low flame stirring continuously.
Add Cardamom powder and mix.
Grease a plate with Ghee and remove the mixture on the plate and flatten it.
Cut into desired shape.
Garnish with sliced Pistachios and dried Rose petals.
Store in refrigerator.
