A very tasty and unique sweet dish prepared in Mysore and Bangalore regions using Rice, Coconut and Jaggery.

Time Required: 45 Minutes + Soaking Time
Ingredients:
1 Cup Rice
1 Cup Fresh grated Coconut
3 Cups Grated Jaggery
4tbsp Ghee/Clarified Butter
½tsp Cardamom Powder
Almonds to decorate
Method:
Soak Rice in water for 8 hours. Grind Rice and Coconut together to a fine paste along with 2 cups of water. Heat a non-stick kadai and add the paste, Jaggery, Cardamom Powder to it and keep stirring.
Add 2 to 3 tbsp of Ghee. Ensure that no lumps are formed. Keep stirring till the mixture forms like a mass of ball and starts leaving the sides of the kadai.
Grease a plate with Ghee and spread the mixture evenly in the plate. Add more Ghee if needed to smoothen the top. Let it cool. Cut into desired shapes and decorate each piece with an Almond and serve. It can be stored upto 5 days in the refrigerator.
