Jackfruit payasa is a very tasty Indian sweet and is prepared during auspicious occasions and festivals. On 21st August 2020 is Swarna Gowri Pooja and this payasa goes very well with all the other festival food.

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups ripe Jackfruit
1 tbsp Rawa / Semolina / Sooji
1 1/2 Cups Coconut Milk
1/4 Cup grated Jaggery
2 Cardamom, Powdered
Few chopped Cashew nuts
Method:
Chop Jackfruit into small pieces and keep it aside. Roast Rawa and keep it aside.
Take Jaggery in a thick-bottomed pan.
Add water enough to wet the Jaggery. Let it melt.
Sieve the Jaggery water and add it back to the pan. Add Jackfruit pieces.
Add half cup water and let it cook.
Cook until the Jackfruit is soft.
Add Coconut milk and roasted Semolina and mix well.
Cook for two to three minutes stirring continuously.
The mixture will reach the Payasa consistency.
Add the roasted Cashew nuts.
Mix well and remove to a serving dish.
Serve hot Payasa.
