Kharjoor Yellu Holige is prepared using dates and sesame seeds. A stuffing is prepared using dates and sesame seeds and this is stuffed inside the dough and rolled out. A very tasty and healthy dish as there is no jaggery or sugar used in the preparation of this sweet.

Ingredients:
½ Cup Wheat Flour
½ Cup Chiroti Rawa / Fine Semolina
1 tbsp Oil
A pinch of Salt
1 Cup Soft Dates
½ Cup Sesame Seeds
¼ Cup Sugar Powder or Grated Jaggery (Optional)
¼ tsp Cardamom Powder
1tbsp Milk
Ghee / Clarified Butter for roasting
Method:
Roast Sesame seeds and grind to a powder. Chop Dates finely. Heat a thick-bottomed pan and add the Dates and stir. Add Sesame Seeds powder and Cardamom Powder and mix well. If using, add Sugar or Jaggery and Milk. Mix well to form a lump. Let it cool. Divide into balls.
Mix Wheat flour, Rawa, Salt, and Oil to form a soft dough. Divide into balls.
Flatten the Wheat flour ball and keep the Dates ball over it.
Close it with another flour ball. Seal the edges.
On a floured surface, roll into concentric circles.
Roast on both sides using Ghee or Oil.
Serve hot with more ghee.
