Thambittu is a sweet is prepared using fried gram flour and is prepared on Nagara Panchami festival.

Ingredients:
1 Cup Hurigadale Powder / Fried Gram Flour
1 Cup Grated Jaggery
1/2 Cup Ghee / Clarified Butter
1/4 Cup Grated Dry Coconut
1tbsp Roasted Sesame Seeds or Poppy Seeds
Method:
In a thick-bottomed pan mix jaggery and ghee.
Let the jaggery melt. Cook until bubbles start appearing at the edges.
Add the flour and mix.
Add Coconut and Poppy seeds.
Either pour the mixture on a greased tray and cut into desired shapes or tie into laddoos.
