Kashmiri Chai – Kashmiri Tea Recipe – Spiced Almond Tea Recipe

Kashmiri Chai

Tea prepared using Almonds, Cinnamon, Saffron and Cardamom. This concoction is very popular in the beautiful state of Kashmir, India.

Time Required: 10 Minutes
Serves: 4

Ingredients:
1 tsp Tea Powder/Leaves
4 Cardamom pods, Crushed
1 small Cinnamon stick, Crushed
Few Saffron strands
4 cups Water
2 tbsp Almonds, Powdered
Honey, to taste

Method:
Boil Water along with Tea Powder, Cardamom, Cinnamon stick and Saffron. Simmer and let the Tea steep for 5 minutes.

Put a teaspoon of Almonds in the bottom of each cup, and pour hot tea over.

Add a tsp of Honey to taste, stir and serve hot.
