Alu Paratha – Aloo Paratha Recipe – Potato stuffed flat bread Recipe

Aloo Paratha

Indian bread stuffed with Potatoes and spices.

Time Required: 30 Minutes
Makes: 6

Ingredients:
2 Cups Wheat Flour
Oil for roasting
Salt to taste

For the stuffing:

1 Cup cooked and mashed Alu / Potatoes
1 tsp Red Chili Powder
1tsp Jeera / Cumin Powder
1tsp Aamchur / Dry Mango Powder Powder
1tsp Chaat Masala
Salt to taste

Method:
Mix flour with Salt and bind to a dough. The dough should be neither too soft nor too tough. Divide into balls.

Mix mashed Alu, Red Chili Powder, Jeera, Aamchur, Chaat Masala and Salt. Divide into small balls (smaller than the dough ball).

Flatten each dough ball and stuff with a ball of Alu mixture and close it.

Roll each ball on a floured surface into a concentric circle and roast on both sides with Oil.

Remove Parathas on a tray.

Serve hot with Raitha, Chutney, Salad, Lassi or Pickle.

You can also serve Aloo Parathas with any Vegetable Dish or Dal.
