This is also known as plain paratha and is very popular in South India.
Time Required: 10 Minutes
Ingredients:
1 Cup Wheat Flour
1tsp Oil
Salt to taste
Water
Method:
Mix all the ingredients together to a dough. Knead well. Divide into balls. Roll a ball on a floured surface into a concentric circle.
Smear little oil over it and fold it into half. Apply oil again and fold it in half again. It will form a triangle shape.
Dust some flour over it and roll again. The shape will be either a triangle or a nearly round shape.
Put this on a heated griddle and put little oil all around the chapathi. Turn it quickly and roast for 20 seconds and turn again and roast for 10 seconds.
Serve hot with a side dish, raitha, dal and pickle.
