This delicious Thai salad is known as Som Tam.
Time Required: 20 Minutes
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
2 Cups, Peeled and Grated Raw Papaya
1 Tomato, Chopped finely
1 Cup Capsicum Julienne (Optional)
1 fresh Big Red Chili
4 Pods Garlic
½ Cup Roasted Groundnuts, Powdered coarsely
1tsp Soya Sauce
1tsp Palm Sugar/Grated Jaggery
Juice of half Lemon
1tsp Tamarind Pulp
4 Lettuce leaves
Salt to taste
Method:
Grind Red Chili and Garlic coarsely. In a mixing bowl, mix all the ingredients together. Chill for at least 20 minutes. In a serving bowl arrange lettuce leaves and spread the salad over it and serve Raw Papaya Salad.
