Seared Bean Sprout Salad is tasty served as a side dish or can be served as a meal with some garlic bread. A very interesting salad with crunchy Sesame Seeds and Orange flavor.
Time Required: 20 Minutes
Ingredients:
1 Cup Bean Sprout
2 Sprigs Spring Onion, Chopped
Few sprigs Coriander leaves, Chopped finely
1 or 2 Carrot, Peeled and Grated
1 Cucumber, Chopped
1/2 Cup shredded Ice Berg Lettuce
1 tsp Oil
1 tbsp Roasted Sesame Seeds
1 Chili, Chopped
Salt to taste
For the dressing:
Juice of 1 Orange
1/2 tsp Orange zest
1/2 tsp Grated Ginger
1 tsp Soya Sauce
1 tsp Olive Oil
1 tsp Tahini Paste
1 tsp Sugar or Honey
Method:
Heat 1 tsp Oil and add Bean Sprouts and stir-fry until brown. Remove to a mixing bowl and refrigerate to stop the cooking.
Whisk all the dressing ingredients together in a separate bowl.
In a salad mixing bowl, add Bean Sprouts, Dressing, and the other ingredients and toss. Remove Seared Bean Sprout Salad to a serving dish and sprinkle more Sesame seeds over it and serve.
