Masala Gawar is a side dish prepared suing cluster beans and Indian spices.
Time Required: 20 Minutes
Ingredients:
2 Cups Gawar / Gorikayi / Cluster Beans, Chopped finely
1 Onion, diced
4 sprigs Coriander leaves
2tsp Pomegranate Seeds Powder or Aamchur / Dry Mango Powder
2tsp Coriander Powder
4 Green Chilies
½ “ Ginger
½tsp Turmeric Powder
6 Cloves of Garlic
¼tsp Garam Masala Powder
2tbsp Oil
Fried Cashew nuts for garnishing (Optional)
Coriander leaves for garnishing
Salt to taste
Method:
Cook the Gawar in water, sieve and keep it aside. Grind Onion, Green Chilies, Coriander Leaves, Garlic, and Ginger to a paste. Heat Oil in a pan and add the paste. Stir fry until all the moisture evaporates. Add all the other ingredients and the cooked Gawar. Add ½ Cup water and cook for two minutes.
Remove to a serving bowl and garnish with Coriander leaves and Cashew nuts and serve with Indian Bread.
