Vegetable balls in hot garlic sauce is a Chinese side dish very popular in India. Goes very well with fried rice and vegetable noodles.

Ingredients:
For the vegetable balls:
1 Cup grated Cauliflower
2 Carrots, grated
5 Spring Onion Scallion, chopped
1 tsp Ginger paste
1 tsp Garlic paste
1 tsp Green Chili paste
1 – 2 tbsp Cornflour
1 tbsp Plain Flour / Maida
1 tsp Soya Sauce
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
For the sauce:
1 Onion, chopped finely
1/4 Capsicum, chopped finely
2 spring Onion scallion, chopped
2 – 3 Green Chilies, chopped
4 Garlic pods, chopped finely
Few sprigs Coriander leaves, chopped finely
1/2″ Ginger, chopped
1 tbsp Soya sauce
1 tbsp Green chili sauce
1 tsp Vinegar
1 tsp Corn flour
2 tbsp Oil
Salt to taste
Method:
For the vegetable balls:
In a bowl, mix all the ingredients except for the Oil.
Divide into balls.
Deep fry and remove them on a kitchen towel.
For the gravy:
Heat Oil and add Ginger, Garlic, Green Chilies, and Onion. Saute for a minute.
Add Capsicum and saute for a minute.
Add Soya sauce, Chili sauce, vinegar, salt, and 1 cup water.
Dilute corn flour in 3 tbsp water and add. Cook until the sauce is little thick. Now, add the deep fried vegetable balls to the gravy and serve with fried rice or noodles.
