Cheese Straw

Cheese Straw is great to serve with tea in the evening. This can be part of a picnic basket and great to munch as you drive.

Time required: 1 Hour

Cookie method: Bread Crumbs method

Ingredients:
100 gms Maida
1tsp Pepper
1tsp Tobasco Sauce
50 gms Chilled Butter
35 gms Cheese
1 – 2 tsp Chilled Water

Method:
Preheat the oven. Line the baking tray with butter or oil.

Sieve Maida and Pepper.

Rub Butter with maida to form a crumbs texture

Mix Cheese, tobasco Sauce and water to it.

Bind to a dough.

Roll the dough between two sheets about ¼ inch thickness.

Cut into strips and twist to look like Cheese Straw. Arrange them on the baking tray.

Bake at 160 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.

Let it cool a bit before you serve Cheese Straw.
