Halu Kodubale is another variety of Kodubale, the ubiquitous snack of South Karnataka homes. Sipping hot filter coffee and spicy Kodubale as the windy rain wets the surrounding is an out of the world experience. You can make this for Dasara Gombe bagana (snacks to distribute during doll arrangement arathi).
Time required: 30 Minutes
Ingredients:
1 Cup Rice Flour
1/2 Cup Milk
2 tsp Ghee
2 tsp Red Chili Powder
1/4 tsp Hing / Asafoetida
Salt to taste
Method:
Mix all the the ingredients in a mixing bowl. Add water to make a dough.
Divide into small balls. Shape each ball into kodubale.
Deep fry them on low flame.
Remove on to a kitchen towel. When cool, store in airtight containers.
