Lotus Stem Chips

Yummy crispy chips prepared using Lotus stems. Lotus stems is known as Kamal Ki Kakadi in Hindi.

Cuisine: North India
Time Required: 20 Minutes

Ingredients:
Few Lotus Stems
Oil for deep frying
Chili Powder to taste
Salt to taste

Method:
Chop both ends of the Lotus stem. Peel and make thin roundels.

Drown them in salt water. Drain and spread the roundels on a cloth.


Heat Oil and wipe each of the roundel dry and deep fry on medium heat until golden brown.

Remove on a kitchen towel and sprinkle Salt and Chili Powder and serve.
