- To keep lentils like Tuvar Dal, Moong Dal etc. insect free, roast them for a minute and store them in dry airtight containers.
- To get a strong aroma of saffron, soak the strands in either hot water or milk for about 10 minutes before adding to the dish.
- Curry leaves and coriander will stay fresh for weeks if you wrap them in aluminum foil and store in the fridge.

Times have changed and women during pregnancy and after child birth eat normal food. Maybe they can have more milk.
I never had anything special prepared during or after pregnancy. My doctor said this – “If you are pregnant or have given birth to a baby does not mean that you are a patient”. I agree with her completely.

I did not mean that pregnants are patients, I just meant that if u know any nutritious food that helps in getting more iron, calcium and other nutrients needed during such periods, mention them.. If not that is okay..
