At a walkable distance from our house is a Mini forest maintained by the forest department.

An early morning walk inside the mini forest delighted us with sights and sounds of many birds. It was a surprise finding exotic birds like Asian paradise flycatcher right in the middle of the buzzing city.

The mini forest was green after the rains and insects, butterflies and birds were busy with their activities in their natural surroundings.

Blue birds, which we could not identify

Few feet away is the Puttenahalli Lake. You can spot many aquatic birds here.

This forest would have been a beautiful asset if it was maintained clean, lot of neighbours throw trash into the forest worstening it day by day.
Right observation Harsha. On weekends there are boys on bikes inside the mini forest practising dirt race!
Few years from now, the forest might just disappear 🙁
