Lovely dolls and a nice collection!
WOW Gorgeous..I have some dolls here in US as well. Mostly Plastic and Paper Mache. I cannot get the mud ones across the seas. My Aunt used to put an elaborate display of dolls and she had just like these handed over from generation. They were just awesome. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
Dear Shantha,
Loved your bommai kolu. All your dolls are handed down from generations right? I can tell because they are so rare.
Did you put color paper behind the dolls? They look wonderful
Thanks for putiing up this post.

Hi Usha, Banu and Mona,

Sravanthi
Hi Sravanthi,
Glad to hear that you have started collecting dolls. For mud / clay dolls Gandhi Bazaar and 4th block Jayanagar are the best places to shop just before Dasara festival commences.
All the best.
I heard that Mud dolls are famous and available in Pondicherry and nearby places. Not sure!!!
Dolls are costly in Bangalore. If you happened to go for a trip to pondy or Madhurai or it would be nice to collect from those places.
Thanks for the information Suresh.
