After spending a fair amount of time in Kemmanagundi, we drove to Kalathgiri waterfalls and were very disappointed. There was less water, due to summer but, the garbage, litter and unruly crowd made us turn back immediately.
The waterfalls is situated 10 Km from Kemmanagundi and is also known as Kalahatti and Kalahasti falls. It cascades from the Chandra Drona Hill from a height of 122 meters. A Veerabhadra / Shiva temple is built in between the rocks. You will have to cross the waterfall to reach the temple.
