The winding narrow roads into the thick shola forest and tea estates lead to the Dolphins Nose viewpoint. I love the adventurous drive to this place.
The peak is at 6,000 feet above sea level, an unlikely place for a real Dolphin to survive! The peak has a resemblance like a Dolphins nose. The rock formation here is distinctive with gorges on both sides of the Dolphin nose. The view of the graceful Catherine Falls completes the breathtaking scene.
Dolphin’s Nose view point is an ideal place to inspire poets, painters, writers, and dreamers.
When the mist clears, you can see the confluence of Coonoor and Kotagiri tributaries. From here, the water flows into Bhavani River.
