Palada Pal Payasa is prepared using Ada. Ada is dried Rice flour flakes, which is available in any of the grocery stores. This is one of the five payasa served during Onam Sadya (festive food).

Ingredients:
4 Cups Milk
8 – 10 tbsp Sugar
Half Cup Rice Ada
2 tbsp Assorted Nuts, Chopped
A pinch of Elaichi (Cardamom) Powder
Few strands of Saffron
Method:
Take Ada in a cooker, add Milk and half cup water. Pressure cook for one whistle.
Remove the lid of the cooker. Add Sugar and let it come to a boil.
Roast nuts in Ghee and add them to the payasa.
Remove to a serving dish and serve Palada Pal Payasa.
