Vegetable Momo are very popular in India and proves that Indi-Chini are Bhai Bhai!

Time Required: 45 Minutes
Ingredients:
For the filling:
½ Cup Cabbage, Minced
½ Cup Carrot, Minced
½ Cup Capsicum, Minced
½ Cup Spring Onion Scallions, Chopped
2tbsp Spring Onion, Chopped
½ Cup Beans, Minced
4 – 5 Garlic Pods, Chopped
1tbsp Ginger – Green Chili Paste
1tbsp Soya Sauce
1tbsp Oil
Salt to taste
For the covering:
1 Cup Refined Flour / Maida
1tsp Oil
Method:
For the filling:
Heat Oil in a thick-bottomed pan, add Garlic, Ginger-Chili Paste and saute for a minute.
Add spring Onion and stir fry.
Add the rest of the vegetables and stir for a minute or two.
Add Spring Onion Scallions and mix well.
Add Salt and Soya Sauce. Mix gently.
For the covering:
Heat 1½ cups water in a vessel and add a teaspoon of salt. Add Flour and stir to form a dough. Remove from the vessel and knead with Oil and keep it aside.
For the Momo:
Roll into a thin concentric circle using Oil. Cut roundels.
Add a spoon of filling in the middle of the small roundels.
Gather the sides to close the filling. Repeat for the rest of the dough roundels.
Heat water in a vessel. Keep a perforated plate over the boiling water.
Place the prepared Momos on the plate.
Stream for 10 minutes.
Remove to a serving plate.
Serve hot vegetable momo with Onion-Chili Sauce.
