A sweet, sour and spicy tomato chutney. This recipe was part of the course conducted by CFTRI, Mysore.
Time Required: 20 Minutes
Ingredients:
2 Cups Tomato Puree
1 Cup Sugar
1tbsp Red Chili Flakes or 5 Whole Red Chilies
1 Onion, Chopped finely
Salt to taste
Method:
In a thick bottomed pan add all the ingredients and cook until the mixture becomes thick. Stir continuously. Remove from heat and let it cool. Store in dry airtight containers.
tomato chutney is one of my fav…I make this often to go with stuffed paratha’s…your looks slightly different than my version…looks yummie!

This chutney can be stored for a long time as Sugar acts as a preservative.
