Today is the commencement of the Dasara festival, which will end in a grand manner on 5th Oct 2022. All over India, the festival is celebrated in different ways. Pooja (rituals), festive food, dance, processions, lights, and music is an integral part of Dasara.
Saptha Mathrikeyaru is a group of seven Hindu goddesses who are always depicted together. They are Narasimhi, Brahmani, Maheshvari, Kaumari, Vaishnavi, Varahi, and Indrani. Lord Shiva and Lord Ganesha are sculpted on either side of the 7 goddesses. During Dasara each day is dedicated to a goddess.
