Botanical name is Spathiphyllum wallisii and belongs to Araceae family. Peace Lily are evergreen perennial plants with large attractive leaves. The leaves grow directly from the root and are green, glossy and oval.
The leaves grow up to 12–65 cm long and 3–25 cm broad. The flowers are white and are produced in a spadix, surrounded by a 10–30 cm long, white, yellowish, or greenish spathe. The flowers long last for almost a month.
Peace lily is native to hot, moist, shady tropical rainforests.
Propagation:
Propagation is from the crowns (roots). They are popular indoor plants.
Plant them in partial shade and enough water to keep the soil wet. Occasionally mist the leaves.
