Other common names of Mexican Cypress Tree are Montezuma cypress, Montezuma Bald cypress. The botanical name is Taxodium mucronatum and belongs to Cupressaceae (Cypress) family. This evergreen tree is native to Mexico.

Flowers are white and the fruit cones are ovoid. The cones are 1.5 to 2.5 cm long and 1 to 2 cm wide.
